Exceptional

Strengths: Initially i thought i wouldn't use the fan, but then i started playing with it and i use it all the time. It is surpisingly easy to program too.

Weakness: It's hard to use with any games that require any reflexes, such as: bf2(battle field 2),star wars battle front 2, and any other games that are simmilar to those.

I bought it initially for bf2(battle field 2), but it was very chalenging to use. Then i tried it on halo, and it was terrific, even on the multiplayer. It would be excellent for games simmilar to halo, and if you can stand the initial frustration than you might be able to use it on some of the larger games.

AirFlo EX PC Game pad - 80650

Strengths: Very easy to install without messing up other programs.

Weakness: Kind of hesitant when tried to set it up for TW 2006 but, it maybe the human instead of the toy.

It works fine, even with EA Sports Tiger Woods 06. The only difficulty is that you have to work on setting up the controller for the specifics of the game which makes it a little discouraging. I wish there was software to set it up for the golf game! Maybe in the future!

Best Analog Gamepad

Strengths: Ergonomic (PS2-style), 10 ft Cord, Fast Response, Fan

Weakness: Bulky (sometimes)

This is the best analog gamepad available for the PC, period. Granted, that's not saying much... but I use this pad for Stepmania (PC version of Dance Dance Revolution), and it has the most accurate response that you'll ever going to get from your buttons. Most of all, when I'm button mashing away on a ten-footer song, the fan is a godsend.

The two analog sticks can be better though. Madden 2005 doesn't feel the same no matter what comparing PC and PS2. This controller can also be considered bulky--it is slightly larger than the standard PS2 controller--for those with smaller hands.

Overall a great controller for your PC. It's not as good as your stock PS2, GC, or XBox controller, but then again, you're not playing those console games on PC all the time.

Nyko Air Flo EX PC Game Pad

This controller has vents and a fan to keep your hands cool. Reason I bought it. My experience with this controller has not been good. I want to let everyone know how I feel about it.

The buttons all have a good feel to them and it is very ergonomic. It also has a long 10 foot cord which is a plus.

The controller worked pretty good at first. The fan kept my palms from getting sweaty in any temperature. I rarely used the fan and when I did it was only set to low speed setting. The fan stopped working at about 150 hours. That upset me as I have only had it for 4 months.

The analog control sticks are not great either. The dead zone is unchangeable. The dead zone is about 1mm of movement which is very small. After I move the analog control stick about half of it's movement range, it's done. So the other half of the movement range doesn't even work in a way. To me it works just like a cheap control pad. I did have to calibrate it before using it.

There isn't any software for the controller. It works off of windows controller settings.

I handle all of my hardware delicately. I also kept my hands clear of the fan intake area. So no abuse has been done to this controller.

I made a similar product testimonial on Nyko's website. I only noticed testimonials that praised the product. I will have to wait a few days until I should be able to see my testimonial if at all. I will not buy any Nyko products ever again.

Hard to Find Game Pad

Strengths: 13 buttons, PS2-style, X-Box-feel, 10 ft Cord, Fan

Weakness: Some keys have slow response

I am not a serious gamer, and my first NYKO Air Flo was quickly returned because it triggered the pause button so easily when I was playing NBA 2004 (before someone told me it had 2 extra buttons under the analog control). Once I got to know why "pause" was triggered (by button 12 under left analog control which I rolled very hard to swing my player running around), I realized how hard it has been to find one in any local store during the past three months.
So far the control has been easy to use, installation was a breeze (it did come with an installation CD). Sometimes the response was kind of slow when I had a steal and shot immediately. Other than that, I have no complaint about this control. The fan has been "cool", and buttons 7 and 8 feel like X-Box trigger buttons that bring the Halo game closer to life. Once I switched "pause" funtion to other button, NBA game is full of fun again. With two extra buttons than the other game pad I have, it is not a problem to "waste" one.

Not so gimmicky after all

Strengths: Comfortable. Lots of buttons.

Weakness: Looks...odd...to say the least.

Well I was in dire need of a controller for my PC and gave this one a shot. Honestly, Im very glad I did. When you first look at it it reeks of gimmick but it does work and fills a need you never knew you had. The software is good, response is good, and since its much like a ps2 stick, its familiar to most. My only knock on it is the looks but those shouldnt really matter but so much since youre using it to play a game. Give it a try, use the fan when needed (not all the time) and I think you ll be as happy as I am with it if not moreso.

worst gamepad ever

Strengths: fan

Weakness: uncomfy grip

This controller makes my computer crash playing Madden 2006. The grip is unsatisfactory. The fan doesn't cool your hand down very much. I wish I had not bought this one.

Good gamepad

Strengths: The fans, comfortable, affordable

Weakness: no vibration

I bought this to play Madden NFL 07 on my computer because I can't use QB Vision Control with keyboard (it requires a second analog stick). My concern was that I have sweaty palms and other kinds of gamepads (like PS2, Xbox) made me feel very uncomfortable. The fans solved the problems by cooling my hands and/or evaporating the perspiration. I have average hands and the gamepad is just right, not too big nor bulky nor heavy. And it works perfectly with Madden NFL 07. Oh, and did I say it's cheap?

The airflo is better than the Logitect rumble pad in my opinion, very easy to use. The fan is a little loud but no to bad, ussaly I don't even use it, no need.

Weakness: not quite comfortable, a little bulky

The design of cooling fan is really good, which can always keep my hands dry. However, the gampad is some how bulky and not quite comfortable to hold. In some games I have to set up the controller, and it is a little annoying. I am only a casual gamer, and I don't want to spend much money on a gamepad. Considering the low price and the good performance, I am quite satisfied.

Weakness: A little big

Great gamepad for those action games. The price was right for only $12. The gamepad was a little bigger than I expected. Think of it more like the first xbox controller. May not be the right gamepad for a kid under 12 because of the size.

Decent controller that keeps your hands cool.

Strengths: Good responsiveness. Built-in Fan. Quality build.

Weakness: Bulky.

I am just the very casual gamer so my needs are pretty simple. I found this game controller does the job quite well. I am especially impressed by its ability to keep my hands cool with its built-in fan. The controller does feel a bit on the bulky side that may bother some after a while. I feel that the quality of the unit itself seems to be durable by touch but only time will tell if this product stands up to moderate or heavy use. Button responsiveness is quite good too. Overall a good buy and recommended.

Above average pc gamepad

Strengths: Long USB cable, easy to install and fan

Weakness: slow respone and ugly layout!

Have a hard using it when playing first person shooting games. The fan keeps my palm dry. The size of the controller is over-size and uncomfortable to hold it.The CD is not very useful when try to set up the controller. Overall it is a good buy.
