Strengths: Easy to install, software easy to figure out.

I bought this for my 13 year-old, she and I installed it and she figured out how to make music mix CD's on her own. I'm very happy with it, would buy the same one again - good value.

I have used many of these drives so far in computers I've built, and haven't had any problems. The DVD works well and included software is nice. I really like Lite-On products for reliability and quality. They have always included good software and had decent documentation.

This is the 3rd Lite-on optical drive I've purchased. It plays DVD movies flawlessly and I've only burned a couple CD's so far and it only takes a couple of minutes for each one. The difference in price between the 52x32x52x16 drive and the 48x24x48x16 drive makes this model the best buy.

All in all, for the price, this is A++ product. If you want top of the line, buy top of the line, with top of the line price ($150-200). Installation was easy, didn't have any problems.

Burns CD-R/CD-RW media extremely fast and DVD playback is pretty fluid. The drive was instantly recognized by nero. This is the 3rd LiteOn drive I've ever purchased(24X CDRW, 48X CDRW before this one). I'm very happy with this Combo drive.

Strengths: Excellent! Haven't had any problems. Burning of CD's is painless and surprisingly fast. Didn't think a combo drive would compete with a standard CD burner. Played DVD's to all my expectations.

Highly recommend this drive to anyone that wants both CD burning capabilities and DVD viewing. Excellent!!! DVD played flawlessly and with no jittering as I've seen in other DVD players. CD burning was painless as well. No bad burns so far. Highly recommend!!!

Strengths: Very effective and fast. Software is intuitive and easy to use.

Weakness: None noticed as of yet.

The hardware was easy to install and for read operations require no additional software. For CD burning and DVD video viewing all software is provided. (Nero for burning and PowerDVD for DVDs, both full license.) The Nero software is simple and effective allowing full system backup and drag and drop burning. Overall I am quite satisfied with my purchase.

highly recommend! if you had only one space for optical drive and don't want to spend over $100 for DVD burner, this one would be the best choice. Lite-On website has a new firmware update for this drive, we must download and install it. please note this update is very easy to install.
